Also too. With the 98 boxster
It's been hot here the last couple of weeks. Running the car with the ac. The thermostat really starts to rise close to the 120. Is it in need of a simple coolant flush or radiator flush. I know it's hard guess without looking at the car. It just seem every time I take it in. The dealership takes me for more$. Thanks for all your help. Are the radiator cooling fans running at high speed? A cooling system flush is a good starting point. You want to confirm cooling fan and thermostat operation too.

Yes, it's common for a relay problem to cause the fans to stop working. A failure of one of the sensors will do this as well. The two fans should run on high with the A/C on regardless of the outside temperature. I would check to make sure this is happening properly.
