i have a 99 with a hardtop, purchased the car in may so just now installing the hardtop, after driving it for a while, one of the locking mechanisms loosens and the top rattles over bumps until i push the cam lock mechanism back to the fully locked position, only one does it, any adjustments or known repairs i can do?

I would take a look at the inserts, they are the softer part (?) of the locking mechanism.
Sadly i dont thing you would be able to see much while they are mounted :/

My 5 cents.....

There are 2 hex screws that hold the locking arm assembly in place. Make sure these are good and tight.
