Four stalk signals and OBC, 101 Projects Book.

This past summer Turd's (2001 Boxster S) automatic turn off of the turn signal, when the steering wheel straightens, packed it in. I opted for the Pelican Parts four stalk signal replacement and upgrade wiring kit to activate my on board computer to show outside temperature, distance to empty etc.

The removal of the steering wheel etc. went quite smoothly. My challenge came when I had to plug in my four new wires into the dash from my new harness. Unlike the photos in the 101 projects book, I have 3 dash plugs, green, blue, and grey. Green and blue had some or all of the slot 21 to 24 plugs filled so I defaulted to guessing that the grey plug with only 1 existing wire into it was the correct plug to put the four wires into. I triple checked that I have my wires in the correct order. Per some other posts I inserted the wires in quite far. After realizing the the connector won't slide in to close unless the plug ins are backed off a bit to line up tiny slots, I had to back them off a bit. In the process of backing them off, one wire cover/sheath stripped a tiny amount. I hope it does not spoil the connection.

Soon I am off to my Porsche dealer in Victoria, Canada, to activate the OBC to recognize the upgrade. Wish me luck that it works! Any sneak previews as to whether installing the four new wires into the grey connector was the correct choice?

Thanks in advance for your comments.
