Wetness on top intake plenum '06 Boxster S

Hi All,

My car is an '06 Boxster S with about 30K miles. Not tracked. Runs great - no issues.

I was swapping out the air cleaner yesterday and saw this... It appears to be a bit oily, but not enough to drip anywhere. The hose clamps weren't exactly tight and I was able to tighten them about 1/4 turn or so.

It seems pretty wet to be "normal". It is only on the left side.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Franny

The "leak" you are posting about is probably from the powersteering vent hose doing it's job. (check steering fluid reservoir level) I am working on extending that vent hose to the bottom of the engine so it leaks out at better place. Your oil filler hose in the top right corner of the pic is covered in oil also. This hose often leaks at the union of the 2 halves or the AOS "valve" to the left may be the source.
