rattle noise

A metallic rattle coming from the rear, from time to time, engine hot or cold ? Any explanations anyone ? Thank you.

The early cars its not uncommon for the cat heat Shields to work loose.

I also had the rattle noise but only when i was around 1K rpm, and as Bell says it was the heatshield.

Any remedy to stop that noise ?
