Front trunk not opening

Battery fine, rear trunk opens fine, when I press the remote or in car lever to open the front trunk I can hear the switch but it will not open. Thoughts, options ???

Hi, is there any front lid movement when you press lever? There is also servomotor and bowden cable (between servomotor and lid opener) Check if the sound what you have heard comes from servomotor or lid opener.

One possible reason can be also that lid does not "jump" up a little bit even it's open. Press opening button and try to lift the lid.

Have a friend apply light down pressure on hood as you hit the switch, if that doesn't work not sure what to replace.

dont forget there is an emergency release .
you have to remove the drivers side wheel liner then you will see the cable.
Once you get it open you can check the mechanism (lube it adjust it see if it actuates.
I help and work on a lot of these ... both times there was an issue it needed lube only.

here is a photo from this site

Dead battery hood Trunk release My advise! Be Prepared.
