Porsche Crest Speakers and ASK amploifier

My 2005 base boxster has the ASK amplifier sound plus package. Despite my best efforts in trying to get the correct info. I ended up using 4 ohm/ 40 watt rms speakers to try and replace my blown factory speakers.

Much to my dismay, I found that upon connecting them I get no sound and I am afraid I blew the amplifier channels with the one exception of the mids/tweeters which share a single channel per side.

I am now considering getting a 6 channel MB-Quartz amplifier to power the 5 channel system and make use of the new speakers I now have on hand.

Can you tell me what is the proper ohm rating and rms for the ask amplifier? Or better still, could you share your thoughts on my current issues?

Thanks!
