I found these seemingly broken strings on each side and can't tell where they are supposed to go or exactly what they do. When I close my top the top edges don't slide into the curved plastic piece at the rear of each side window, if that makes sense, and I'm trying to figure out why.

The cable tension seems good on each side but it feels like something should be pulling the sides of the top in so they fit into those channels as I close the top.

Those are the tension cables. You will have to partially remove the canvas top to replace them.

Should the two meet in the middle, or where do the other ends go? Do you have a part #, or would I get those from Porsche? And are those the reason the top doesn't close properly on its own? Thanks!
