I have a 2006 S with a manual transmission and 30K miles. I have an intermittent problem. When I insert the key, I always hear the usual clicks (like relays) and the dash activates. Sometimes, when I turn the key - nothing, the starter doesn't engage or attempt to turn and there is no sound (e.g. click) at all. I had the battery condition checked last night and it is fine. I understand that this may be the ignition switch or starter. Is there a starter relay that I should check before diving into the more involved repairs?

I'd check the clutch switch on the pedal, pretty common. ...
It's kind of flat looking with 2 terminals on it. You can jump the terminals to see if it will start but make sure it's in nuetral as if its in gear the car will take off... |
