I am going to remove my a/c compressor on a 987.1 Boxster that I'm turning into a track-only car. It looks, from the diagram, as though one could simply remove the a/c and get a short enough belt to go directly from the power steering pump to the crank pulley - no need to buy an "a/c delete" pulley. Am I missing something?

I don't see why that wouldn't work.
