Question 2 Axle questions:

While doing an under-car inspection I noticed the inner boot on the driver's side axle was split & starting to leak. In one of the comments, Wayne mentions 90-100ml of grease should be in there & I don't see anywhere near that much leaking. My history with CV's (especially on 4WD Jeeps) is that by the time you see the leak, the damage to the CV joint itself has already happened & needs to be replaced (my wife's Liberty yesterday, for example!).
1. Is the same true with these joints, meaning that once a boot is leaking, the joint needs to be replaced? Is it reasonable to think the CV joint might be OK & only the boot needs replacement (& the grease of course)? How far is 'too far' to drive it with a cracked boot? It seems to me that there is very little side-to-side movement compared to a steering axle & as long as there is still good lubricant in there, they might be OK while I order parts. That seems to be borne out by the boots' only kit here at Pelican (PN #101P-986-P041C). Which brings me to the second question:
2. Even though I see them mentioned in other threads on this topic, I don't find the listing for complete axle assemblies on Pelican's site. Can someone find me a part number? Depending on price, the ease of swapping the whole axle *may* be worth the difference to me.

I have read Wayne's tech write-up & the comments but would like other's thoughts on this. Thanks!

Oh, and the kit # 101P-986-P041C doesn't look to have the lube included; can anyone confirm that? I'll ask when ordering but if someone already knows, that would be great.
Thanks again!
