Hi guys! I have a 2010 Boxster with a CDR-30 head unit and was wondering if the wires list in this article applies. Wanted to check before I remove the head unit.
Any feedback much appreciated. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: |

I have a 2006 model, and I just changed the radio. From what I can tell, the wires in the "main module" (not the CD changer wires) are a European standard. I installed a Blaupunkt San Diego 530, and the only thing I had to watch out for was one minor change in the harness: The constant 12V and switched 12V leads needed to be changed. Everything else was a direct match. Unplug the Porsche Radio and then plug in the Blaupunkt. I spent the most time fishing the GPS antenna wire. Entire install took about three hours, and that included time spent researching to make sure I had the power leads correct and making sure the fuse I was wiring to wouldn't affect another system. Easy day.
