Porsche tells me that I need the higher temp thermostate and your article says use the cooler one. I live in AZ but in the mountains! Will I be doing the right thing using the lower temp thermostate? HELP

The cooler one will be fine. It should not cause an issue with vehicle engine or hvac heat, when the temps are colder.
