Radio inoperable after battery replacement

I just replaced my 2002 Boxster S battery. The owners manual indicates I should power on the radio and enter the code. I have the code but the radio does not power on to prompt the code entry. Any ideas on how to reset the radio?

Is there any possibility that you might have blown a fuse? For example, did you have a dead battery and jump start the car or hook up a power source to the fuse block or the cigarette lighter.

There is a fuse for the radio in both the fuse block in the driver's foot well and behind the radio itself. You will need the tools to remove the radio to check that fuse.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I did jump the car today after the battery died, drove the car home and subsequently replaced the battery. I did check the radio fuse in position D8 in the footwell and that was fine. It sounds like I need to do some more research on radio removal if I need to check that other fuse.

Someone posted a way to pull the radio using a nail file. It might help.

I bought the special tools, removed the radio and the fuse on the back of the radio was blown. I tried the nail file method but my radio was in too tight for that to work. The special tools was the way to go. Everything is good now.
