The drivers window is not working on my 2005 Boxster 987. For a while I struggled putting the window up which meant playing with the switch for ages. Now it doesn't move then door is open or roof goes down. I hear a noise when I press the switch but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Most likely the window regulator is faulty. I have seen though that they get bound up. To try and unbind the window, open the door, grab the top of the window, press downward and it should move an inch or so, then pull it up. Go back to the window switch and see if the window moves. If it does you should plan to replace the window regulator in the near future. Part number is: 987-542-075-00-OEM
