I upgraded the radio and kept 5 he factory amp. 2000 Boxter. I recently lost both door speakers. Will a short in one side shut both speakers down. I know it's not the radio or amp since I can flip the plugs around and the dash speakers on both. Also, it appears impossible to pull new wires. Any idea on how to pull new wires. Thinking of drilling a hole just above where the loom enters the car. Hopes this makes since.

A short could shut down the amp.

To run new wires, you will have to remove the interior components you want to run the wires through. Then secure the new wiring in loom and safely mount it so it doesn't rub through or pinch.
