So I'm trying to sell my otherwise perfect 2000 base Boxster and stupidly slipped a laminated "For Sale" sign in the passenger window. Of course it fell inside the door, out of sight, when I accidentally lowered the window. Arrggh. Was able to get the now fragmented "For Sale" sign removed without taking off the whole door panel but now the window drops halfway when it should drop 1/4 inch or whatever. With a couple of tries finesse, I can get the window to remain up closed. However, when I open the passenger door from outside, it drops halfway. A real nuisance. Seems like a window regulator issue, right? I'm tempted to order a replacement regulator but what do you think? Also, seems dumb to ask, but the "right" side regulator means passenger side, correct?

Certainly does sound like the regulator, and the right and left is always as you are sitting in the car so, yes here in the states right means passenger.
