Need a little help identifying this

I need some help in identifying a wire that I found under the center console in my Boxster. I took the console out for refurbishing and when I went to put everything back I saw but don't remember pulling it off of a connector. Is it for an option that didn't come with the car? I've looked everywhere online but I can't find a thing to ID it.

When one removes the ashtray in favor of the cubbyhole of the non-smoking kit, the illumination bulb for the ashtray goes away, leaving the connector just lying there.
