Guess you assume these engines have the same flywheel.
This is almost universally never the case, as there's the little matter of there being a clutch or not.

Well, it sounds strange but Bosch part number is the same 0 001 123 001. The same I guess is mounting place and size. Maybe wires are different and relays within a car.
Bosch added confusion by not selling new starters for old cars. Only "re-manufactured" for -'03. Though new starter for new boxster/cayman '07- looks the same and price is roughly the same (but no core is needed) |
