Just today, I would put my key in the ignition, turn to the right, everything works correctly until you turn all the way to the right when attempting to start the engine. Had to continuously turn to the left then attempt to turn and repeat until it turned on. Also strange, shifting lever was stuck in park until it eventually freed up and worked normally. All issues happen when attempting to start the car.

You could have an issue with the mechanical portion of the ignition. Remove it and see if it rotates smooth.
