Question on Boxster Convertible Top Repair

Is it possible to install an 00-04 model roof with glass window including frame on a 98 model boxster?

I did a little research and only a few parts are upgraded.
The back lid is the same (986 514 011 01) so i think the shape of the back of the roof is also the same.
But he transmissions are upgraded:
986 561 179 02 for -99 (left)
986 561 179 03 for 00- (left)
986 561 180 02 for -99 (right)
986 561 180 03 for 00- (right)

The transmissions are hold in place using 3 spacer bolt (per side)
986 561 789 00 -99
986 561 789 01 00-

but the transmissions also works on a pre 99 model with the correct spacer bolts.

so my conclusion so far is that it should fit.

Has anyone tried this before?
