Hi, late to this party but I recently changed my ignition switch... it has cured the squealing starter motor and the need to manually return the ignition key so the blowers etc would run. The lock screws are on the back side of the barrel so use a mirror. I also made a very stubby flat head driver from a small hex bit,a spare bolt and a jubilee clip. Tighten the clip around the bolt and hex bit to give grip and purchase as the retaining screws are locked in... DON'T take them all the way out! also the retaining wings on the switch are different thickness to ensure it goes back the same way!
