Hi, I replaced the window regulator on my 2007 Cayman, adjusted the window so that it closes and seals properly. The window drops properly when the door handle is moved and moves up when the door is closed. After a couple of weeks the window moved backwards so that when the door is opening or closing the window rubs against the fixed glass window behind the door. I disassembled the door, and the rubber pieces in the clamp Figure 6, panel C that holds the window had shifted. I reset the rubber pieces, tightened the screws as much as I thought possible without cracking the window and readjusted the window. After a week the window again slid backwards so that it is rubbing on the fixed glass window. Is there a torque setting for the screws in the clamp that holds the glass? Or is something else wrong?

There is a torque spec, unfortunately I do not have it to share.
Try adding blue threadlocker to the fastener. - Nick |

Hey Kevin, I would highly recommend picking up a manual; it'll have all the diagrams and torque specs that you'll ever need! ![]() -Dmitry |
