Porsche Crest window mechanism problem?

Hi, I have a problem with my window mechanism, on opening and shutting the door the window fails to go up and down, and the window does not open and close the the button. I have taken the inner panels off but now cannot see what to look for. Has anyone got any technical info (wiring etc) or can tell me how it operates so I can get to the fault. I posted a message a few weeks ago which was similar to this, but hit Black Ice on the road and took the Boxster for a bit of unplanned off roading, so it has been in the bodyshop.

Many Thanks

I have not had the problem myself. But I seem to recall seeing a number of similar complaints on the "Porsche Pete's Boxster Board" Check the archives there.

Thanks for the response. I stripped the door down at the weekend and tested all the wiring and micro switches. (very complex). I took the motor out and turned the mechanism by hand which worked. So I have ordered a new motor. I just can't imagine why the motor would pack up? anyway job done hopefully!!!!

Many Thanks
