Sorry.. One more question. I inserted a wrong key into the ignition.. 2005 987 silly me. To get the key out I used a bit of force.. The Porsche key can be taken out at any position now and the clock keeps resetting on the dash. Also the fuel gauge sometimes reads empty when I know it's full.. Could that all be perminant damage to the module therefore requiring replacement? Thanks again and cheers

Damaging the ignition switch should not cause those faults.
