Intermittent starting problem Boxster 06
For quite some time I have been having this issue of my car not starting when the key is inserted and turned on. The battery has been replaced about 4 - 5 months ago, and I want to say I was having this issue prior to the battery replacement. Also replaced the batteries in both keys, this seemed to fix the problem for a short period of time.
This happens when the car is cold, also when hot, as in running errands and starting and stop a few times. In order to get the car to start when it doesn't want to, I remove the key, then slide it back in and twist if does not start then I repeat. When it starts it starts like nothing is wrong. Any ideas as what the problem is? Thank you |

Hello and welcome to the forum! Other members will likely chime in with their expertise - I'm attaching a link to a DIY tech article from our site on the ignition switch; which could be the problem. Hopefully this helps you a bit in addition to others input.
