I missed a shift in my 2001 Boxster S track car and have sourced a 60,000 mile 2003 996 3.6L with IMS upgrade and a Motronic 7.8, immobilizer, and key fob from a 2003 C2 manual. Wayne’s step by article for mechanically fitting the engine is VERY helpful. However given the nearly infinite number of engine conversion combinations we are pretty much on our own to figure out the necessary wiring changes.
I have a factory manual for my 2001 Boxster with Sheets 12 and 12A of the electrical diagrams. The 2002 electrical diagram sheet 12A posted with Wayne’s article is IMMENSELY helpful and a Motronic 7.8 pin out diagram I got from another forum is also helpful, but a little generic. The missing key to the puzzle needed to confirm the last few wires in plug “D†is the sheet 12 electrical diagram from a 2002+ 996 that is a companion to the one posted with Wayne’s article. Any chance you have access to that diagram that can be looked at? Any help would be appreciated. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: |

Hi, I don't have that wiring page, but I do have the PCM terminal assignments. See attached, hope this helps.
