Windshileld in calgary
Where can I:
a) buy a windshield for my 964 with the antenna in it b) not get skinned on getting the windshield replaced - the place near my house wants $645 which I think is about $300 too much. Preferably in Calgary.

I need a replacement in my 86 and was thinking about going the 964 route with the trimless gasket.
I'll be interested in hearing how you make out. Tim

Uncle:
Mark @ Alpine calls his windshield guy for all glass jobs and I understand his prices are not crazy. Call Mark I don't think he'll have a problem sharing the number with you

How did you make out for a windscreen?

I didn't. The wholesaler wouldn't sell to me and I'm not spending $645. I'm thinking that in the spring, I'll go buy one from one of the wholesalers in edmonton (if he'll still sell to me). I bought some glass there for my 53 Merc pickup a few years ago and it was a great deal. If not, I'll try to leverage my employer's discount at Crystal Glass in Red Deer.

get buddy buddy with a guy from Mr. Lube, and say you'll give him 50 bucks if he gets the part for you..
my neighbour works at Mr. Lube, and as long as he walks into a wholesaler with his uniform or employee ID, and he says it's for a customer, they'll sell to him.

unclebilly.....if you find a cheap way to do it, let me know. Maybe we can get a deal buying two at the same time.
My windshield is the original and although it is in good shape....it has a million pits in it which makes it tough to see through when the sun is shining brightly....
