Is there love for the 320is?
My first car that actually ran was a 1983 320i. I have a bit of nostalgia for one and I noticed the familiar back end of a 320i as I passed a foreign auto repair shop one day.
I asked if it was for sale and was told that it was a customers car, so I left my information and I am waiting to hear back if they are interested in selling. I noticed that it had no markings showing that it was a 320 on the trunk, it has the front air dam spoiler, basket weave BBS wheels, 3 point steering wheel and the Recaro seats. Are there sites that are more specific to the 320is and ultimately what I can learn regarding the proper value of one of these cars? I don't think the owner know what he has regarding the limited numbers these 320's came into the US. For reference, it is an 82, 246K miles (!!), body looked decent, in Henna Red (I love this color). Any ideas as to what to offer? Thanks for any information. DC Josh |
