Need help identifying Kienzle MotoMeter clock

Trying to figure out what car this came from (assuming it came from an automobile).

The markings are:

MotoMeter
Kienzle
12V (on the back)
ZD 60.261 (over the 12 noon marker)

Can anyone tell me anything about this clock, or provide a resource where I might find more information?

I've done a lot of internet searching to no avail. I've seen similar clocks that are from a variety of German cars including Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, and also found some from Opel and others. None match this clock exactly.

I did several searches here before posting but found nothing.

Any help is appreciated.

I posted this on a vintage 911 forum and a clock forum.

Just got an answer from the 911 forum:

Here are the details for anyone who may have a similar clock to identify:

Hi, that's BMW 1600-2 / 2002 ti and early tii they exist in some variation of plastic ring dial and silver vs. chrome ring.
It looks as if the black ring that covers half of the housing is there too.
Everything there except wiring harness and the slotted nut which connects ground.
Variations were used in Ford (D) and Mercedes and they were also an Aftermarket item in a slightly smaller 52 mm diameter (Left of G and below H).
