I read your thread about the 993 position sensor issue from last year.
I have just installed a 993 vario into my 82 SC and have similar symptoms.
The plug from the position sensor is molded, so I am confused as to how it could have become reversed in your case.
What exactly did you do??
FYI, I live on a small island on the Malay / Thai border, and have no technical support for this car.
So far the project has gone very well. I just need it to start!!!
Turns over, fuel fine, power to DME fine. No spark :-(
