Polyethylene can be any color, makes no matter. It's density. You need to make sure it's low density. PE has low, med and high. Still holding up after a full tank over the weekend. Also, Polypropylene is PP

Enjoyed your post about the tank welding. I have a spare tank with a similar leak that I would like to weld up like you did. I noticed that you mention "Low Density Ployethylene" rod. I was going to order some from McMaster Carr and noticed that their rod is a natural color and not black like yours. Just want to be sure I'm ordering the right rod material. They list polypropylene as being black.

Hey Leo, the guy called on 83 auto U.S. i offered him $2,500 but he is stuck on $3,100 and i have to pay for towing to vegas another $500.00 becouse it wont start from old gas. thats why i asked for DR. BOB i heard he knows a lot about these cars, and may be he can get it started for me, so i can drive to vegas insted of towing. Ed. georges 928

    MP,
Just wondered if you had a chance to take some measurements of the brake adapter for the early cars? The reason I asked is because I would like to upgrade the brakes on my 1980, but it is silly to spend $140 since I have a fairly complete machine shop at home. In addition I do enjoy making projects that I can use, and often inprove on. If possible, a picture would also be helpful so construction is correct. Thanks in advance for your help!
