    Hi Bob, good question.
Have been the 912 Registry webmaster since day one in 1997 [started it]. I asked Pelican to start a 912 section on their bulletin board way way back, am still an administrator there. Lost interest in Rennlist [which was originally PorscheList] way back, not enough 912 activity. I've been on the 912bbs since Dave created it, but only have about 300 posts total in over 10 years, while some have 10,000 posts; however I find the search function is invaluable. Have been the PCA 912 Register Advocate for about the last 5 years and believe being inclusive and interacting with owners of all Porsche models is the right approach. For social interaction Facebook now makes the most sense to me, so that is where I am allocating much of my efforts these days. [ ]
    Sound reasonable?
    Take care,

Rick, I seem to remember some years ago you were on the 912registry board or just a very active participant but no more. What's up, if you don't mind me asking? I see you here, Rennlist and PCA.

    Just being nosy I guess,

Hi Rick, I saw an old post where you gave some instructions about replacement of the wind-wing seals on the early 912/911. I was just getting ready to tackle this project on my '68 912 and assumed I would need to completely remove the entire upper window frame from the door. (I have done it the hard-way before on my '66 912) but then your post explained that you could actually just remove the wind-wing with the frame still installed. I just wanted to get some clarification about that because it sure would make this job a lot more attractive! Please let me know... Bob Ashlock -
