Not much to offer. I've never owned a 3.2. A friend of mine put the 3.6 in the car then I bought it from him. The HP is, well, amazing. With the 993 intake/exhaust it makes amazing sounds and is like a rocket particularly in 2nd and 3rd gears. Mine also has a lightened flywheel and pretty aggressive cams so the response is pretty instantaneous. With all the mods its pushing 300HP, at the last dyno, and weighs in a bit over 2500lbs.
Prior to my owning this 1980 I've rebuilt/restored MGB's and of course there really is no comparison between the two.
Wish I could offer more quantitative info, but based on seat of the pants and general thrill of driving the car, I couldn't be happier.
