Trans hard shift
I just acquired a 2006 Mini Cooper S with the Aisin 6 speed trans. I found out that after the trans heats up, it starts hard shifting up and down. Cold it ran great. I went ahead and did the fluid change, only just over 2 qts came out and 2 back in following the procedure in the tech documents. Great information. Not sure where the other 4 qts are or how to get them out but that's something else. After a couple of weeks, it has starting acting up again. After a lot of research online, I have come to the conclusion that it might be the valve body in the trans, which is incredibly cheaper then a new trans. It seems pretty easy, seems to unbolt and bolt back up after you remove the trans filter. Would you have a tech article on doing this? It does seem to be a fairly common problem with the Mini's at around 80k to 120k. RevMax is what everyone has been using as a reliable replacement. Any information or comments would be helpful.

For whoever this helps, I replaced the Trans Valve body with the RevMax and the car is shifting and proforming great. It was as thought, unwire, unbolt, and reverse.
