Removing Side Skirt 2006 Mini S - Having Issue
I looked at the pictures on getting the side skirt off. (2006 Mini S)
I removed the 8 clips on the bottom along with the one screw and 4 clips under the sill plate. I can't seem to get the skirt to slide forward enough to release the hidden clips. I can get it to move about 3/8" but this is not enough. I feel like I'm hitting something during the attempted sliding but I can't see it. Please let me advise if you know the usual trick(s) for this situation. Thanks, -Henry

I saw that if you go in via the wheel wells and release the two end clips then the part will slide forward enough. I'll try that tomorrow or later today and report back.

update -
There are 11 slots on the skirt. The back 2 and front 1 are open to the front - meaning they come off by pulling the skirt back. The "middle" 8 slots are open to the rear - meaning they come off by pulling the skirt forward. I ended up breaking almost all the clips. I guess the idea is to somehow pull back and/or unhook the back two and front one and then pull forward to release the middle 8. The little round clips will not all come out with a phillips. This is not even my car - I'm cleaning it up for free and I'm now reminded why I don't want a BMW again and I've had a few.
