Broken Crankshaft Damper
My 05 MCS has destroyed the rubber centered crankshaft damper. I have a new one from ATI ( Super Damper), but when i install it the new damper slides right on. This cannot be a good thin. I am thinking I will pin the damper to crank. Is there any other ways to make this repair without having to remove the crankshaft?

I will try a repair this weekend. I will drill the damper and crank to accept a removable dowel pin. A bunch of companies that sell supercharger conversions have you pin the crank, so I think it will work. I have not seen any issues the way it is right now, but a MC mechanic told me that if the damper slips it will cause the car to throw an error code. I have a reoccurring P1498 that comes and goes
