My Mini is slow to fire. Letting the fuel pump cycle a few times seems to allow it to light off first time. Is there a check valve on the fuel pump that can be replaced? Is there a check valve at the pressure regulator?

The check valve is built into the fuel pump. You can test is by checking fuel pressure, then allowing system to sit under pressure while you monitor it. It should hold pressure with the key off.

Drop our sales department a call at 1-888-280-7799 they can get you a repair manual with the test included.
