After my question yesterday, I noticed a smell and looked into the filter and found it wet with fuel. I'm now looking into the seals at the top of the filter housing where the fuel line goes in.
Are these O-rings replaceable? That is, are the little O-rings relaceable that go around the plastic fuel line fitting and are located inside the white plastic lid. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Pelican Technical Article: MINI Cooper - Fuel Pump and Filter Replacement |

Depending on what is leaking, you may be able to service the O-ring or the entire fuel line.

Regarding the fuel smell, it turned out that the mechanic that had replaced the fuel filter busted the housing. It not only had a hard start but seeped fuel out of the housing. I replaced the fuel filter housing and that took care of that problem.
