Question on Serpentine Belt Replacement?
Looks like a doable project after all. I was pondering this chore and despairing at its difficulty. I have a 2011 Cooper S Convertible R57. Which tensioning tool, if any, would fit that car?
P.S. I disagree that Mini requiring you to remove a wheel, wheel well cover, and a headlight is an example of good design. I think it's just another example of Mini engineering errors getting more people to abandon their tools and drive the car to the dealership service department. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: |

On an R57, the front components have to be removed to allow for enough throw of the tensioner. I recall it being a normal 24mm wrench, to rotate the tensioner.
