We purchased a 2003 Mini Cooper s for my daughter. When my husband went to change the oil a spring fell out and we didn't realize there was a cage in the filter so it was thrown away. We purchased a filter with the built in cage. 1. we aren't sure where the spring goes. We put it where it looked like it locked down but no we keep getting the low oil pressure light on when the car is in idle. When you drive it the car the light goes off. Can you tell me where the spring goes or send me a picture to show me where it goes and what it attaches too?

The spring installs in the bottom of the filter housing. It twists to lock into place. Give our parts specialists a call at 1-888-280-7799. They can figure out what part or repair kit you need.
