I bought a replacement balancer and it just slid on, no press fit needed. Do I need to get a new one or can I torque to spec and it won't slip?

It should be a tight fit, not loose. Give The Pelican Parts parts specialists a call at 1-888-280-7799. They can figure out if you got the right part.
