R56 IBS unit location on battery
 

Hello,
I'm replacing the battery on a 2009 mini &want to check if it has the IBS fitted, in your figure 3 it says the purple arrow points to the L shaped IBS unit but I cannot see the purple arrow, is the IBS unit fitted in figure 3?

See fig 7. it is the black plastic piece in that photo.

In figure 3 it's the L shaped black box above the negative terminal where the green arrow is pointing. Sometimes IBS units don't have the black box covering the unit so if there is something in that shape above your negative terminal you have the IBS unit.
