Look at figure #3 in the tech article. The green arrow points to the negative battery terminal, which you will see an L shaped black box above. That is the IBS unit. If there is nothing like that on your negative terminal, you do not have the IBS unit. Sometimes the unit is there without the black box, but if there is nothing above that area yours is not equipped with one.
