hello i have a 2008 mini cooper r56. i am stuck in limp mode, used a bmw/mini scanner and get fault codes:28B4 SME:Valvetronic servomotor, sluggish movement. i changed spark plugs, did replace a bad coil, cleaned both solenoids,oil looks clean...i am stuck not sure what else to do..any advice would be much appreciated. thank you.

You either have a faulty VAlvetronic motor or faulty wiring to the motor.

Nick, thanks for the reply....question on valvetronic motor. I am going to test, using a valvetronic from my friends 09 cooper. Do you think this is ok to do, before i order a new one? Removing the vavletronice has 3 screws, should it just pull out from there?
