Hoping someone might have something for me. Have an 07 Mini non s that pulls code P1050, P0162. If you let the car sit overnight it will run just fine. Turn the car off and back on it will come up with reduced power mode and throw the same 2 codes. I have changed both VVT solenoids, both cam sensors, and now the valve cover. Still getting the same issue! Driving me insane. Any ideas?? Thank you in advance!

Check if the VANOS solenoids are dirty. Clean and resintall.
If problem returns, you may have a mechanical engine timing issue. - Nick |

P0162 does not show in the Bentley Manual.
For the other code, there are two options. If your scan tool shows the MINI FC code along with the P code it will help: P1050 0x2852 Valvetronic Module Power Stage Generic P1050 0x2DC3 Valvetronic actuator motor, control-activation: Open circuit |
