identification of elbow electrical connector
hi guys,
can you help me identificate this connector? its on the left side of coolant tank if you stand front of engine. photo is taken from driver side. engine is n18 r56 lci petrol. thanks in advance. suzi ![]() ![]() |

Looks like the connector for the CTS. Do you have a new thermostat? That sensor location is a very common place to leak, so make sure yours isn't leaking. Since the new CTS is integrated onto the thermostat, and if yours has an updated thermostat, that port/sensor is no longer useful and commonly leaks. You can remove the sensor and put some RTV around the existing O-ring to seal the area or replace it with the elbow that fully removes the sensor location. If it's not leaking, then don't worry about it. If it starts to leak you can replace the elbow with the new/correct hose that gets rid of that section or just do the RTV solution for a quick fix.
