I have now put 49,000 miles on a 2016 Explorer - twin turbo 3.5.

Previous DD's were an '08 Lexus GS350, an '01 MBZ ML430 and a 93 Lexus GS300. I put 200K on them before I pass them on/sell.

BY FAR, this Explorer has the best ride, is the quietest and most comfortable of any of the prior 3. Hands down.

The only negative is that it's a pig. It weighs something like 4300 lbs and not very aerodynamic, so mpg averages about 17-18.

I would buy another in a second regardless.
