Anybody attending the luftgekhult gathering in Kerrville?

We are working on "gone to Texas" and Kerrville is our first choice. Was pleased and surprised to hear that they have a get together every spring. Any opinions
on Porsche activities in the area and or the suitability of the hill country for geezers?

I know that the HCR PCA in Austin used to have a couple of events. Many years ago, I went to one in October that was fun. Concours followed by a tour in the hill country followed by dinner in a German restaurant in a small German town (Octoberfest-ish).

Kerrville is pretty nice, plenty of good roads in the hill country, and premium fuel is inexpensive there. What is not to like, aside from things being a bit spread out.

One of my friends likes to RV camp in that area. The campground is very hippy/grateful dead. Usually lots of folk singers around that area.

I could do the dead. Used to live a couple of miles from Red Rocks and saw them a few times. Where is Tejas on legalizing pot?

Bunch of guys from DFW area put on the Hill Country Rally every year in March/April time frame for air cooled cars. They stay at the Y O Ranch hotel and the event is a must do if you're into air cooled P-cars, incredible driving roads and great camaraderie. Fredericksburg isn't too far away with its great German restaurants and the Museum of the Pacific War is a must see.

We took a quick look at Fredericksburg. Too cute and we couldn't afford it. It's nimitz's home town I believe. Luchenbach isn't far either. Population 3. That's great that's there is a strong pcar group.
German food to the north, great Mexican food in San Antonio, I could love this.
