What are these Recaro SRD seats worth?

I have a pair of Recaro SRD seats with sub belt holes that I have had in storage and I'm thinking of selling them.

They came out of my '81 Targa and were only in the car about 7 years and are in very good condition. I lost interest in doing track events but admit it was a great experience and I'm glad I did it when I did.

Any idea what they might be worth?

Shipping seems like it would be a hassle so I was thinking do a local ad with the PCA or CL.

I also have the 5 point belts and a harness bar and some other stuff.

No fading? New those seats are like $1800/ each and I don’t think they make them in red anymore.


I’d start in the 2500/ range for the pair and go from there?

Do track seats, like helmets, have dates they need to have been made in to still be in current use?

I bought a set about 8-9 years ago for 1200 bucks. I am not sure if that is helpful or not?

I think mine were in the $900 range and that was like 18 years ago.

Those Fuchs 8s or 9s in the photo are worth a couple of bucks these days, assuming they are not replicas.

Unless it’s something rare or desirable it’s typically hard to get more than 50% of new for selling used parts. I think $1000-$1500 is probably reasonable, especially if you can find a local buyer and save them on shipping. Those things are super comfy, love the SRD.

Those are authentic 8's. With 7's on the front. And they are the 951 Fuchs with the extra spacious interiors because I upgraded my brakes to Brembos and needed the room for the larger calipers. I still have these Fuchs as well as pair of replica 9's.

Thanks, Matt. What's nice about the SRD is not only the super comfort but also the backs are mobile just like the factory seats so you can access the back area very easily if need be. These also both have the sub belt holes, which should make them a little more desirable. I loved the sub belt when I was doing track events.

I will probably put together a package with the belts and harness bar for someone first getting into track stuff, like I was when I first bought these. Would make a nice package for someone like that.

I just now looked at the sales receipt. $500 for each plus shipping. (2003)
